What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse, Circulating Nurse position at Tri-City Surgery Center?
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Experience: Minimum of 1-year full time or equivalent OR experience.
Licensure: Current state licensure in nursing required.
Skills: Possesses leadership qualities and good communication skills. Understands team-based management concept and interpersonal management skills. Possesses knowledge of all equipment used in the delivery of patient care in the OR. Has knowledge of infection control and maintains all Clinical Nurse requirements in the OR.
Physical and Mental Effort: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and to respond quickly to the changing needs of staff, physicians, management and stressful patient care situations in the OR. Job tasks include physical activity in the provision of nursing services to patients including standing, walking, bending, stooping, lifting and moving equipment.
Environmental and Working Conditions: Works in a clean, well-lighted, air-conditioned environment. Occasionally stressful when attempting to perform multiple required tasks efficiently at one time. Possibility of exposure to infection or contagious disease, needle puncture, injury from sharp instruments, or exposure to hazardous gases and compounds.
