Summary
The Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH),Division for Policy Information and Communication, Center for Health Systems Policy and Planning’s Office of Health Systems Development requires a Health Economics Specialist for the Statewide Health Inventory Program’s Utilization and Capacity Study Project. This position will be responsible for the oversight, development, and maintenance of the Statewide Health Inventory Report.
Responsibilities
- Participating in weekly Inventory meetings
- Guiding work of the RIDOH staff and team of interns (as applicable) working on the project
- Working with stakeholders to receive meaningful feedback
- Assisting in the distribution of surveys to the healthcare practices in the state
- Cleaning and analyzing the survey data
- Drafting the inventory report and findings
- Doing related work as required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree(required), master’s degree in public health, health care administration, hospital administration, health policy, health planning or a closely related field (preferred).
Experience gained through employment in a responsible position in a public or private agency involving participation in the administration of medical care programs or, employment in an administrative or consultative position in the field of public health, health grants management, hospital administration, health planning or health statistics.
Or, any combination of education and experience that shall be substantially equivalent to the above education and experience.
