Primary responsibilities of this full-time, hybrid position in our Waite Park office will include:
- Understand the eligibility guidelines and application requirements for all Tri-CAP programs and services
- Answer incoming phone calls to answer questions, assess needs and provide appropriate referrals
- Meet with clients in person to assist with completion of program applications as needed and provide appropriate referrals and advocacy services
- Respond to email inquiries, chats and text messages related to program services through the website and other department needs
- Conduct follow-up activities- phone calls, mailings, advocacy services, etc
- Participate in outreach, marketing and enrollment activities for Family Resource programs
- Attend outreach events in community to promote Tri-CAP services, as requested
Qualifications:
- Two (2) years post-secondary education and one year of human services related experience OR equivalent combination 3 years education/experience
- Demonstrated effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, excellent customer service skills
- Experience working with people in crisis and with diverse populations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel and Outlook; data entry skills
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work well independently and stay on task
- Reliable form of transportation
- Knowledge of community resources, preferred
- Bi-lingual (Spanish or Somali) preferred
