Position Summary
An Entry-Level HVAC Service Technician has less than 3 years of experience and is responsible for performing HVAC maintenance and entry-level repairs. This role involves working under the supervision of experienced technicians to ensure that HVAC systems operate efficiently and effectively. You will gain hands-on experience in diagnosing issues, performing routine maintenance, and providing excellent customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Responsible for performing HVAC service and maintenance
- Responsible for excellent communication and customer service
- Responsible for building estimates and presenting to the homeowner
- Responsible for maintaining detailed records of service visits, including diagnoses, repairs and maintenance
- Responsible for adhering to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Plays a crucial role in preventing workplace injuries by following safety guidelines, using equipment correctly. Reports any unsafe conditions or actions to management immediately.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in HVAC service, HVAC school program / apprenticeship or a related field. Experience with both residential and commercial HVAC systems preferred.
- EPA Section 608 certification (for refrigerant handling) required. [Additional certifications such as NATE are a plus.]
- Must be goal oriented
- Ability to build a positive working relationship with our customers and coworkers
- Must have a genuine empathy for customers / coworkers and a willingness to help others
- Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in various weather conditions, and perform physical labor (bending, crouching, and climbing).
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to customers in a clear and approachable way.
- Valid Florida driver’s license and a clean driving record with a minimum of 3 years driving history.
- Knowledge of Service Titan preferred
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Typical work week is Monday to Friday

- Varying work conditions exist with this position: Uncontrolled environments include Highways/Roadways used with company vehicles, Personal and Business Property owned by customers including various and intrinsic hazards, exposure to Weather Conditions, including heat, humidity, cold, rain, lightening and winds. Controlled Environments include the TCA Shops/Offices/Warehouses, which are maintained in a safe manner.
