Purpose:
The Human Resources (HR) Assistant handles the daily administrative duties in the Human Resources department of our agency. They assist the Human Resources Director with multiple duties in the area of HR including recruitment, employee records maintenance, and provide clerical support to the Human Resources Director.

Minimum Requirements:
- AA or higher Degree in Human Resources or relevant work experience in the field of Human Resource Development.
- Proven track recording of executing HR-related tasks.
- General knowledge of various employment laws and practices.
- Hands on experience working with MS Office, Google Suite, Database systems, and HR software (i.e. People Soft, WorkFlow, Bamboo HR, ADP-preferred).
- Effective oral, and written communication skills.
- High ethical standards and ability to exhibit a high level of confidentiality.
- Advanced computer skills, internet and e-mail.
- Must obtain a valid Iowa Driver’s License, proof of insurance and maintain it throughout the duration of employment.
- Must be cleared and allowed to work in a childcare setting by the Iowa Department of Human Services, by completing a State of Iowa Criminal History Record Check and FBI National Fingerprint Record Check.
