LEAD Toddler Teacher
Early Head Start
Full-time (40 Hours per week) Full Year
General Responsibility: Oversee the daily operations of an Early Head Start classroom and to provide the children with an educational program that is conducive to optimal development.
Specific Responsibilities: Be knowledgeable about developmentally appropriate practices, planning according to the individual needs of each child, completing education paperwork, conducting developmental on-line assessments, conducting observations of children daily, encouraging family engagement in the program, conducting education home visits, maintaining a safe and healthy environment, providing “Responsive Caregiving” to all children and promoting the school readiness of children and families in the program.
Qualifications: Associates Degree Early Childhood Education (preferred) or Infant/Toddler CDA. Rhode Island Early Learning and Development Standards certificate (preferred).
