Energy and Social Services Department
Full-time (40 Hours Per Week)
General Responsibility: To perform comprehensive duties related to the auditing of energy systems in clients’ homes.
Specific Responsibilities: . Conducting energy use audits on homes experiencing high-energy costs associated with primary heat source and appliance usage. Developing an action plan with clients in accordance to provisions stated within the specific energy conservation program. Providing home visitation to clients when necessary. Maintaining current and accurate record keeping for client files in accordance with standards of the particular energy conservation program. Utilizing existing computer database systems to maintain appropriate information on clients. Completing all paperwork associated with maintaining current statistics necessary for reporting purposes.
Qualifications: Having a BA (Building Analyst) certification will prioritize applicant. High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Possess or will train for all necessary licenses and/or certifications as mandated by Weatherization Grantors. Must have knowledge of heating systems, insulation procedures, energy efficiency measures and related areas.
Special Qualifications: Computer literacy, with friendly excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary. Must have a valid driver’s license and valid vehicle insurance. Must be willing to undergo a thorough criminal background screening and an annual driver’s record check. Must be able to perform basic math problems and equations and be able to reason rationally. Must be physically able to perform the duties of the job. Must have the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral form.
