Job Summary: We seek a motivated and dynamic Workforce Development Instructor responsible for delivering work based curriculum to students aged 14 to 24 using a diverse array of materials and methodologies including, but not limited to, text-based, computers, Internet, and classroom lecture. Topics include the following (and any other trainings/topics as appropriate): Work Readiness; Job Retention Skills; Job Search Techniques; Career Planning Tools; Resumes/Cover Letters; Interview Skills; Digital Literacy; Financial Literacy; Entrepreneurship; Job Placement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver weekly, re-occurring Job Placement workshops to eligible job seekers.
- Assist in the selection and development of appropriate work based curricula to assist participants with achieving their career goals.
- Deliver pre-packaged curriculum and lesson plans as well as have the capability to research new topics, develop lesson plans for them, and deliver those plans to students to a satisfactory level of competence.
- Deliver and analyze vocational assessments (ECS and ACT) & develop plan to address deficient areas.
- Prepare advanced lessons that support introductory training topics & WIOA program elements.
- Assist with curriculum development and support for seasonal employees, responsible for delivering Tri-County’s Summer Youth Employment program.
- Deliver post-secondary transition services to participants who lack a realistic post-graduation plan.
- Provide specialized support to student’s accessing the Google Certificates platform, who are in need of workforce credential attainment.
- Submit all documents and training attendance hours for each student to appropriate Case Manager/Career Counselor (resumes, cover letters, etc.)
- Attend professional development meetings/seminars to ensure that best practices are being implemented where possible and to ensure that the annual goal of 50 hours is met.
- Submit documentation of all professional development to supervisor as required.
- Attend all scheduled meetings as required by agency or department.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in education or a related field. Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in workforce development, youth development, education or related fields. Previous experience working with low income, at risk youth, ages 14 to 24 who face barriers to employment.
