We are looking for a Data Entry Specialist to join our team and ensure the integrity and security of our agency’s electronic records. In this role, you will be responsible for entering, verifying, and managing data within our Empower Software system to meet compliance standards and program requirements. Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
*Perform all data entry related tasks including sorting, proofing, updating, and storing client information for the Agency.
*Maintain complete data files accurately and securely to protect sensitive information and confidentiality.
*Compile, sort, verify and correct data to be entered. E 10% Review data for completeness and accuracy. Process and resolve data inquiries by searching and reviewing the databases.
*Contact program managers or directors of source documents to address data inconsistencies and to gather missing data.
*Maintain records of work completed. Manage filing and routing of source documents after entry.
*Update data in appropriate databases in accurate and timely manner so as to avoid backlogging and ensure data integrity.
*Meet deadlines by efficiently managing data entry tasks.
*Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills: Experience One year to three years of similar or related experience. Education A high school education or GED. Interpersonal Skills Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.
Other Skills Proficient with computers, including spreadsheets, word processing, and Microsoft Office Programs.
Physical Requirements Able to sit for extended periods of time, able to lift 10 to 20 pounds.
Work Environment Work is in an office setting. Some travel may be required. Attendance at meeting are required.
