Duties and responsibilities:
Receptionists are the first point of contact for all onsite and phone customers and visitors. Receptionist ensure all visitors are greeted and connected to other agency staff appropriately. They also provide basic service navigation for customers, and administrative support for the Operations Manager.
- Engage individuals in a way that reduces barriers to their acceptance of services, including meeting them in the office, speaking with them over the phone, or corresponding through email.
- Answer all incoming calls in a clear, profession manner and relay callers to appropriate person/department.
- Greet and welcome all incoming guests and visitors in a courteous and professional manner. Inform appropriate staff member of the guest’s arrival.
- Have a basic understanding of all agency programs, services, and initiatives in order to connect guests or callers to the appropriate staff member.
- Process, log, and distribute incoming mail and faxes on the same day as received as required by established standards.
- Under the direction of the Operations Manager, assist with supply ordering and maintaining appropriate inventory.
- Refer individuals to other assistance programs that can provide supportive services which address Social Determinates of Health and other barriers to housing security.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Graduate Equivalency Degree/General Educational Diploma (GED) with one year demonstrated related experience.
- Bilingual Spanish/English required
- Ability to successfully pass Act 33/34 and FBI clearances
- Valid Driver’s License and car insurance with an acceptable motor vehicle report.
Salary:
This is a non-exempt position with a starting hourly rate of $15.62. This position is based off of a 35 hour workweek.
