Shift: Full-time; grant cap is 40 hours per week
Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; some weekend and evening availability as needed for events
Salary: Up to $34/hr dependent upon education and experience

The Wicomico County Department of Social Services, in conjunction with the Tri-County Council of the Lower Eastern Shore of Maryland, is searching for an individual to fill a full- time, grant-funded position as a CAC MDT Coordinator/Facilitator. This position is located at the Wicomico Child Advocacy Center in Salisbury, Maryland.
Background:
The CAC MDT Coordinator/Facilitator position supports the Wicomico Child Advocacy Center (CAC), a multidisciplinary program and team that offers a safe, trauma-informed and child-focused response to child abuse and neglect through assessment, investigation, prosecution, and treatment and promotes public education and prevention. The CAC MDT Coordinator/Facilitator is a member of the Wicomico CAC multidisciplinary team (MDT) that includes social workers, detectives, medical and mental health providers, and prosecutors. The position serves at the pleasure of, and follows direction from, the Wicomico Child CAC Advisory Board with day-to-day supervision and support through the Wicomico County Department of Social Services (DSS). The position is contingent on funding through a Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) grant administered by the Governor’s Office of Crime Prevention and Policy (GOCPP) and awarded to the Wicomico County DSS.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The CAC MDT Coordinator/Facilitator supports Wicomico CAC day-to-day program operations and
activities to ensure a physically and psychologically safe facility for children and their non-offending
family members, and an MDT that has the necessary equipment, supplies, training, and other services.
Responsibilities and activities include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinate and manage activities and documentation to meet National Children’s Alliance child advocacy center accreditation requirements.
- Facilitate information sharing events including Case Review MDT and other program meetings and activities.
- Support data collection and management activities to track and assess status, gaps, and emerging trends in child maltreatment reports and demographics and meet internal and external data reporting requirements.
- Pursue funding opportunities and manage grant awards to support and expand program operations and services.
- Identify, coordinate, and track professional development opportunities for the MDT.
- Develop and maintain collaborations with national, regional, state, local, and private organizations and agencies.
- Initiate and participate in community outreach and public awareness activities about child abuse and neglect and prevention and protection strategies.
- Annual grant funding application and renewal.
- Monthly grant coordination and monitoring.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or a related behavioral science is preferred.
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience and knowledge in areas that include some of the following:
- Child protective services and child abuse investigations and prosecution, victim advocacy, other trauma-informed and focused services, or non-profit services.
- Federal, State, local, and non-profit grants and funding and financial management.
- Program/project coordination and management.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and organizational skills.
- High proficiency with personal computer and common office software packages.

resourcefulness, problem solving skills, self-motivator, high professional standards and ethics, and an ability to work collaboratively with a variety of individuals from various disciplines.
