Job Description
The Work Opportunities Specialist assists families build strong foundations for success in the work environment. Through ongoing assessment and monitoring, the Work Opportunities Specialist develops customer driven plans that emphasize strengths, interests, and steps needed to resolve barriers to employment. The Work Opportunities Specialist also links and assists customers access internal and external supports and monitors compliance with the plan according to program requirements. Finally, the Work Opportunities Specialist collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the holistic needs of the family are met while program requirements are satisfied.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Interview and assess program participants to identify obstacles to employment.
- Assist the customer set employment goals and create plans to achieve them.
- Monitor and track participants engagement in program activities.
- Link families to resources and supportive services.
