Medical Assistant/Medical Receptionist
We are seeking a Medical Assistant Physician Practice to become a part of our team! You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly.
Job Pay Commensurate with Experience
We are seeking to hire a medical assistant who will be responsible for assisting with administrative duties at our facility.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be experienced in a medical setting. An understanding of patient care and medical terminology will be a huge advantage for you.
Medical Assistant Responsibilities:
- Obtaining and recording patient medical histories, vitals, test results, and other information for medical records while maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Coordinating the daily administrative activities, including scheduling, patient check-in and check-out, and patient medical record maintenance.
- Preparing treatment rooms for clinical examinations and assisting practitioners with medical procedures and other patient care.
- Delivering compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families.
- Ensuring compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
- Preparing and administering medications for patients as directed by physicians.
- Communicate medical results to patients under clinical supervision.
- Complete accurate documentation of patient visits.
Medical Receptionist Responsibilities:
- Greet and attend to patients in person and over the phone.
- Answer all phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
- Verify insurances & collect balances/copays or deductibles.
- Schedule appointments between doctors and patients.
- Adhere to policy and procedures during all activates.
- Assist with admissions/treatment as per agreed protocols.
Requirements:
- Experience at a medical office/facility in a medical assistant & receptionist role (essential).
- Working knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA regulations, ICD, and CPT coding (advantageous).
- Innovative thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.
- Strong organizational, administrative, and planning skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and react effectively to emergency situations.
- Ability to use discretion while working with sensitive information.
- Excellent documentation, communication, and IT skills.
- Passionate about healthcare excellence.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
