Position Description
Employees in this position perform duties related to the care, treatment, and rehabilitation of program clients. Employees in this position are aware of available community resources, they make appropriate referrals to same, and they function as a member of a treatment team.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Assesses clients referred for substance abuse and mental health services for the purposes of treatment plan development.
- Participates in family counseling sessions as a co-facilitator with direct supervision by a Counselor III or Clinical / Program Supervisor.
- Teaches alcohol / drug education classes and provides other educational services.
- Performs case management functions such as maintaining case records and coordinating additional services as needed.
- Provides individual counseling to program clients under the supervision of a Clinical / Program Supervisor.
- Acts as a group leader / facilitator during group counseling sessions.
- Performs other reasonable and related duties as requested by the immediate supervisor or administrative personnel.
