Overview
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician who can also repair gas engines, to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in maintaining and repairing diesel and gas engines and related systems. This role requires a commitment to providing excellent customer service while ensuring the safety and efficiency of our equipment, coworkers, and clients. This position will work with various machinery, bucket trucks, box trucks, daily vehicles, diesel engines, gas engines, drivelines, electrical, suspensions, A/C, and more. These job requirements include heavy lifting, hydraulic, and electrical systems testing, and repair.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on diesel and gas engines and related components.
- Conduct tire service, including installation, rotation, and balancing.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Maintain equipment by cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting parts for wear or damage.
- Operate buckets and trucks safely while performing repairs or maintenance tasks.
- Communicate with customers when needed regarding service needs and provide exceptional customer service throughout the repair process.
- Document all services performed and maintain accurate records of repairs.
- Must have their own professional hand and power tools. Shop tools and advanced diagnostic tools are provided.
Qualifications
- Diesel, medium duty, and automobile certified.
- A strong understanding of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems is essential.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are necessary for success in this role.
- A commitment to safety protocols and procedures in all aspects of work is required.
