Description
The School Psychologists' Paraprofessional is responsible to supporting the school psychologists of Tri-County by retrieving student records, doing clerical duties, entering assessment data into scoring system, and making some on-site visits. This individual should have considerable skill in prioritizing, meeting deadlines, confidentiality, and being reliable. They will be able to demonstrate effective communication skills, basic computer skills, and strong organizational skills. A basic understanding of the requirements of special education and timelines is required.
Essential Responsibilities
- Track down student records for new / move-in students
- Examine student files for School Psychologist; disperse as requested
- Be able to mail, scan, email, fax, file and print documents
- Utilize Webkidss to Complete Consents for Evaluation, and other forms
- Transfer assessment protocol information into scoring system and share report with school psychologist
- Contact other agencies to determine educational advocates (Families Together, KVC)
- Support school psychologist in scheduling
- Communicate regularly with school psychologists
- Complete time sensitive items as a priority by deadline
- Perform other duties, as assigned, which may include working in a classroom setting with students with disabilities.
