What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Psychologist Intern position at Tri County Special Education?
TCSEA is a decentralized cooperative with 16 member districts which are rural but situated within 30 minute of Bloomington, Illinois. All 16 member districts utilize multi-tiered systems of support and many of our Psychologists work closely with principals as data managers. All sit on district problem solving teams. Our School Psychologist Interns are assigned to a qualified Psychologist to oversee training and work to meet the needs of the intern. Interns earn $30,000 per year. We also pay for our Psychologist Interns to attend out of district trainings, though many are available within the cooperative. Our Psychologists meet monthly as a team to work on numerous projects. This gives the intern an opportunity to be part of a community of practice. New Psychologists are also encouraged, and given the opportunity, to observe multiple programs within the communities to familiarize themselves with the community resources available in within our 16 member districts.
