Who You Are: The Student Success Advisor at Tri County Tech plays a key role in recruiting and enrolling high school students while ensuring an exceptional student experience. This position focuses on matching students' interests and career goals with the right Tri County Tech program, providing guidance from initial recruitment through program completion and desired placement. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are essential to support students throughout their journey. The primary goals of this role include increasing enrollment, supporting student retention, and facilitating successful post-graduation placement. This role is highly focused on bringing in the best students, guiding them toward success, and ensuring they are well-prepared for their future goals.

What You'll Do
Coordinators oversee major projects or a majority of department functions with ultimate accountability and focused oversight. They support leadership by implementing change initiatives efficiently and effectively while flexibly assuming new responsibilities. Coordinators are highly engaged in all aspects of the organization with limited cross-functional responsibilities and are mostly present-focused. They manage multiple projects with self-directed deadline-driven accountability. Although majorly transactional, Coordinators are high-functioning professionals applying discretion and independent judgment while building problem-solving skills.
Essential Functions:
- Lead efforts to attract and enroll high-quality students who align with Tri County Tech’s programs.
- Plan and execute recruitment events such as Sophomore tours, open houses, individual tours, and program interviews.
- Manage and guide students through the application and acceptance process, ensuring they find the best program match for their interests and career goals.
- Provide one-on-one and group advising on college, career, and military pathways. Teach soft skills through group sessions to help students prepare for professional success.
- Offer placement guidance to connect students with job opportunities, apprenticeships, or further education.
- Facilitate student orientations for both traditional and non-traditional programs.
- Lead student advocacy projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with Tri County Tech’s mission.
- Conduct annual data analysis on enrollment, retention, and placement to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Develop and recommend strategies to increase student success based on key performance metrics.
- Assist with front desk services, including phone support, face-to-face interactions, and student inquiries.
- Ensure students receive the necessary support and resources to thrive in their programs and successfully transition post-graduation.
- Other Job-Related Duties as Assigned by the Supervisor: The omission of duties does not exclude it from the position if similar, related, or a logical assignment to the job. In other words, you'll be helping out on spontaneous projects and opportunities not listed above.

Terms of Employment: Twelve months; salary to be established by the Board of Education.
Evaluation: Performance evaluated by the Student Services Director per Board policy.
