Job Purpose: The Director provides leadership, vision, direction, and administrative oversight of all advising, coaching, and early alerts responsibilities to support students in successfully preparing for the transition into College and into the program that best fits their needs, understanding the academic requirements and progression of the curriculum, and utilizing available resources to navigate academic and personal challenges during their enrollment at TCTC. This position is a critical aspect of the College providing knowledge, leadership, guidance, and strategic vision for the advising and academic support experience of all TCTC credit students. Job Duties: Supervision and Staff Development: Hire, mentor, train, and develop a high-performing team of success coaches providing excellent customer service to students, prospective students, colleagues, and the community in partnership with the assistant director. Leadership: Provide leadership, influence, and guidance for developing, implementing, and continuously improving all advising and coaching functions. Collaboratively develop integrated, outcomes-based services and processes with institutional stakeholders. Training, Analysis, and Reporting: Serve as the primary advising administrator and advising trainer for the credit programs of the college. Analyze patterns and trends related to advising and coaching services. Use data to inform adjustments to strategies and plans. Early Alert: Identify, develop, and implement early alert functionality to maximize faculty and student communication and academic support. Support continual development of academic support frameworks and assessment measures. Other: Participate in professional development through college programs and applicable professional organizations, on college committees and initiatives, and similar. Other duties as assigned.
