The OAD is a highly collaborative environment where team members bring individual expertise to contribute to the collective efforts of the office. The successful candidate can demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities, anticipate future needs and develop long-range plans for the office and their areas of responsibility. They will excel in building relationships and be capable of managing a variety of responsibilities to meet the diverse needs of the office.Job Responsibilities: Operate as the LMS (Blackboard) Site Administrator: By staying current on features and updates; being a primary point of contact with Anthology; actively participating in professional networks, communicating with the campus community, and analyzing usage trends to enhance user experiences.Provide Blackboard Support to Faculty and Staff: By troubleshooting Blackboard issues; conducting workshops and one-on-one training on effective use; creating user guides/instructional videos/etc., and communicating new features and updates to faculty and staff. Manage Online Course Development Processes: By creating requirements that adhere to quality standards and accreditation and other regulatory guidelines; maintaining tracking systems, coordinating training for faculty, and working in partnership with the SACS-COC compliance officer. Support Faculty in Enhancing Curriculum with Educational Technology: By staying abreast of educational technology tools; assessing faculty needs and goals for integrating technology; offering training sessions; and coordinating, designing, and updating instructional materials. Support Faculty in Curriculum Processes: By staying up-to-date on local, state, and regional regulatory requirements; staying current on curriculum design best practices; assisting faculty with writing curriculum documentation; and coordinating the completion and submission of curriculum documents.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Master’s degree (nearing completion or completed) in a related field. Experience operating in an LMS system (such as Blackboard, Moodle, Canvas, Brightspace, etc.).Experience using a wide range of technologies to improve productivity and performance. Basic understanding of designing effective learning experiences (ex. learning design, curriculum design, ADDIE model). Experience managing processes (adhering to requirements, tracking, following policies, reporting).
