Tracks student progress on financial aid packages. Determines eligibility and informs students of available funding of federal, state and institutional awards. Awards, disburses and reconciles funds. The successful candidate must embody excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills with both faculty and student populations. Strong basic computer software skills. Ability to read, comprehend, and comply with federal and state laws, regulations, and policies pertaining to the administration of student financial aid. Ability to interact effectively as a member of a team and work collaboratively with other departments. Ability to provide supportive counseling for a wide range of student problems and concerns.Job Duties: Track and verify grant and scholarship award requirements. Collaborates with the Fiscal Affairs office and the Director of Financial Aid to manage and monitor the issuance of grants and scholarships. Prepare analysis of grant and scholarship financials, where necessary. Provide required reporting of grant and scholarship data to appropriate internal and external stakeholders. Reconciles with Business Office, Student Manager, and internal tracking mechanisms.Counsel and assist students in all aspects of student aid eligibility, application, renewal, and financial planning and assistance. Be an effective counselor by being a good listener and communicator. Educate students and parents on regulations, policies, procedures, and processes so that every student understands why we must do certain things and make certain decisions.Collaborate with the TCTC IT team, ACEWare System Support Staff, and Financial Aid Technical Services Manager to ensure seamless integration, updating, and efficient operational utilization of ACEWeb, Student Manager, and Report Writer with other institutional systems or databases, where necessary. • Serves as mid-level IT Customer Support Specialist to resolve technical issues relating to ACEWare and other systems. Diagnoses technical issues, pulls reports for escalated issues, and completes computer generated and assigned tasks related to ACEWare System.Collaborate with stakeholders, including Director of Financial Aid, Director of Academic Affairs, CCE program directors and training coordinators and other departments, to gather requirements and specifications for various reports pertaining to financial aid. Utilize technical expertise and knowledge of the ACE WEB Student Manager system to design and develop customized reports that address the specific needs of different user groups. Analyze and interpret complex student data to generate meaningful insights and trends. Develop reports that offer a comprehensive view of student performance, enrollment statistics, attendance records, and other relevant metrics, to identify areas for improvement and support strategic decision making.Perform other duties as assigned.
