The successful candidate will plan and conduct classroom instruction and hands-on lab activities to include the introduction to the tools, materials, systems, design, installation, and service needed for a career in plumbing. The instructor will support students in building an in-demand career with strong foundational knowledge, current technologies, and knowledge of Codes. The successful candidate will have knowledge and understanding of relevant disciplines, including basic plumbing repair and installation. As well as, knowledge of proper clothing, safety, tool use, and maintenance. Have the ability to demonstrate sensitivity to the needs and expectations of students, faculty, staff, and advisory or community groups Personal integrity, honesty, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to: The adjunct instructor is responsible for course preparation, delivery, and record keeping.Teach all courses, as assigned, for the full duration of scheduled instruction.Enforce academic policy and procedures, and comply with institutional rules and regulations. Assume responsibility for off-site/ classroom prep, including lab set-up and clean-up. The adjunct plumbing instructor is responsible for teaching plumbing courses and working with Corporate & Community Education Program Manager to plan, implement, and coordinate instruction.Physical DemandsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position. The physical and mental demands described as follows are representative of those that must be met by an employee in performing the essential functions of this job: Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time; Ability to lift, at times, 40-50 lbs. Good eye/hand dexterity

Candidate must have minimum of 5 years of on the job experience or combination of training and experience. Must be a licensed plumbing contractor
