Job Responsibilities
Job Purpose:
Tri-County Technical College invites applicants to the role of Bridge Programs Resource Specialist: Part-Time. Reporting to the Director of Bridge Programs, the Program Resource Specialist will be responsible for providing a broad spectrum of administrative and support services for the Bridge Programs. The Program Resource Specialist will provide a variety of educational and personal assistance to prospective and current students, which may include responsibilities such as providing guidance in regard to the enrollment process, program academic requirements, and resource opportunities. The Program Resource Specialist will be responsible for administrative, clerical, and front-line customer service activities of the Bridge Programs Office. These responsibilities may include but are not limited to: supporting the front desk (i.e. answering phone calls, returning voicemail and email messages, completing daily tasks as assigned, helping with walk-in traffic), compiling database information, assisting with program events and logistics (set-up, planning, processing event data, greeting guests, etc.), guiding students through academic requirements and processes, and communicating Program and College expectations/deadlines/requirements.
Tri-County has transfer agreements with multiple postsecondary institutions, including but not limited to: Anderson University, Clemson University, Lander University, University of South Carolina (including regional campuses such as USC Upstate), Columbia College, North Greenville University, and Southern Wesleyan University. Each program is unique, but in all cases, students who meet specified criteria may transfer to the senior institution after completion of the program requirements at Tri-County.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
An associate degree and three years of relevant program experience or a high school diploma and five years of relevant program experience.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
A bachelor's degree and one year of relevant program experience.
