Tri County Technical College is seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic tutor to provide expert guidance in Business, Accounting, Management, and Finance to students at various academic levels. Applicants should have a strong understanding of business concepts, accounting principles, management theories, and financial practices. Potential tutors should feel comfortable working one-on-one or online with students. Tutors have the opportunity to become certified through the College Reading and Learning Association.The successful Candidate must embody the following:
- Completion of coursework in subject that will be tutored with satisfactory grades
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Word processing and basic computer skills
- Eagerness to work with a diverse student population
- Ability to assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- For candidates who have not yet completed a degree, a minimum of one reference must come from an instructor in a business course that can speak to your level of academic achievement.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Word processing and basic computer skills
- Eagerness to work with a diverse student population
Preferred Qualifications
- Extensive experience in content area through advanced degrees or work experience
- Experience with tutoring or other peer-assisted learning models
- Experience navigating common software in higher education, such as Blackboard or Starfish
