What are the responsibilities and job description for the Therapy Center Intern position at Tri-County Therapy?
Tri-County Therapy, LLC (“TCT”) is a pediatric therapy company that provides therapy services for children from birth to 18 years old. TCT’s mission is to provide quality therapy to children while building a diverse community of talent where each team member feels empowered to bring their unique differences to work and achieve their full innovative potential.
TCT offers a multi-disciplinary approach with speech, occupational, aquatic, and physical therapy services. TCT has clinics located in the following South Carolina cities: Charleston, Ladson, Mount Pleasant, Greenville, and Anderson. We also provide therapy in the natural environment, including homes, the community, and preschools.
Our Ladson therapy team is looking for a part-time intern 3 days a week (about 15-20 hours a week) to help with projects that can be used in therapy, assistance with maintaining treatment room cleanliness and toy sanitation, organization of supplies and materials, and more!
Internships at TCT are paid internships considered most appropriate for those interested in pursing a degree or are already enrolled in a degree program for pediatric OT, PT, or ST. Interested applicants must be able to commit to a minimum of a 12 week placement. This is a great way to earn hours for a degree program, boost experience for one’s resume, and network to build professional references. When feasible, internship hours may be tailored to accommodate class schedules/coursework and provide necessary flexibility if currently pursing a degree. Internships include the opportunity for clinical shadowing under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist, providing assistance with daily clinic upkeep that may include prepping activities, assisting with session setup/cleanup, and general sanitization of therapy materials and spaces, and/or light cleaning.
