TCVS is a full-service animal hospital dedicated to providing the highest quality veterinary care and customer service. TCVS is a family owned private practice right here in your community for 20 years, offering family friendly hours and no oncall or after hours shifts. Our awesome team is looking to add an additonal Licensed or Experienced Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Technician Assistant.
Summary
As a Veterinary Assistant at Tri-County Veterinary Services, you will play a vital role in supporting our veterinary team in delivering top-notch care to our animal patients. This position is essential for ensuring the well-being of animals and enhancing the overall client experience. Large animal experience not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians and during examinations and procedures.
- Provide compassionate care to animals during their visit.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic environment.
- Handle and restrain animals safely for examinations and treatments.
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by the veterinarian.
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and wellness practices.
Requirements
- Required - At least 1 year of Veterinary Technician Assistant experience.
- Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal anatomy.
- Experience in animal handling and critical care preferred.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
- Large animal experience not required.
