Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low voltage systems in various settings, including commercial and industrial environments. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, schematics, and the ability to work effectively on construction sites.

Duties

  • Install and maintain low voltage systems such as security alarms, fire alarms, and communication systems.
  • Read and interpret schematics to ensure accurate installation and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
  • Collaborate with other electricians to complete projects efficiently and safely.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively in various construction site settings.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to low voltage systems and perform necessary repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards while working on-site.
  • Assist in the installation of high voltage systems when required, providing support to senior electricians.

Experience

  • Previous experience as a Low Voltage Technician or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Familiarity with industrial and commercial electrical systems is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of logic controllers and their applications within low voltage environments is a plus.
  • 5 years minimum experience working on construction sites, demonstrating an understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, showcasing strong communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

License/Certification:

  • FASA/BASA (Required)

Ability to Commute:

  • Jacksonville, FL 32232 (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Jacksonville, FL 32232: Relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:

  • 50% (Required)
