Job Description :
- Administer and support z / OS mainframe environments ensuring high availability and performance.
- Install configure and maintain z / OS operating systems and associated software products.
- Monitor system performance troubleshoot issues and perform necessary tuning to maintain optimal system health.
- Ensure regular system backups and disaster recovery procedures are in place and tested.
- Maintain and administer z / OS utilities and tools such as JES2 / JES3 SDSF and TSO.
- Handle user access control security configuration and compliance management for z / OS systems.
- Plan and implement system upgrades patches and migrations with minimal system downtime.
- Perform system and database maintenance including maintaining DB2 CICS and other critical applications on z / OS.
- Manage and monitor storage systems ensuring efficient utilization and capacity planning.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate mainframe systems with distributed environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues related to hardware software or network problems.
- Document procedures configurations and system changes for auditing and knowledgesharing purposes.
- Provide oncall support for critical issues as needed.
- Assist in disaster recovery planning and testing for z / OS environments.

Proven experience as a z / OS Administrator or similar role with hands-on experience managing and maintaining z / OS environments. Strong knowledge of z / OS operating system components, including system utilities, subsystems, and data management tools. Experience with mainframe hardware, storage systems, and performance monitoring tools. Proficiency in JES2 / JES3, TSO, ISPF, and other z / OS management tools. Familiarity with DB2, CICS, IMS, and RACF for security and user management. Experience with system backups, recovery, and disaster recovery planning. Understanding of mainframe security concepts, including user access controls and auditing. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with system scripting and automation tools. Good knowledge of system performance tuning and capacity planning. Strong documentation and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well in both independent and team-based settings. Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
