Job Summary
The General Manager will oversee the management of employees and departments within M&L Truck Service and Breeding Roll Off. This individual will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, operational efficiency, employee productivity, customer and employee retention, and profitability while maintaining a safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise office and operational personnel
- Ensure daily work and reports are completed efficiently and on time
- Investigate and resolve customer service issues and complaints
- Meet or exceed company sales goals through partnerships with ownership and other business partners
- Optimize and manage controllable expenses, local inventory, and direct the development of improvement projects to generate cost savings/profit improvement
- Take safety measures to achieve zero accidents and incidents
- Cultivate commercial relationships within the community and develop new customer opportunities
- Plan for succession and develop employees for advancement
Requirements:
- ~5 Years' experience managing and leading a team
- ~ Bachelor's Degree Preferred but not required
- ~ Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
- ~ General understanding of vehicle components and their functions
- ~ Ability to adapt with technology-enabled systems and process improvement
- ~ Experience managing in a fluid, fast-paced environment and being highly motivated and organized
- ~ Strong leadership and mentoring skills
- ~ Decision-making ability
- ~ Understanding and connection with customers and businesses of the Eastern Shore of MD, DE, and VA
