What are the responsibilities and job description for the DETAILER/Safety Sensitive position at Tri Lakes Motors?
Cleans and refurbishes new and used automobiles. Conforms to dealership and/or manufacturer specifications and time allowances.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Washes vehicle exterior, cleans interior and exterior windows and wipes down door jambs.

Vacuums interiors of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris.

Cleans upholstery, rugs and other surfaces using appropriate cleaning agents, applicators and cleaning devices.

Applies revitalizers and preservation agents to interior vinyl or leather surfaces and treats fabric with spot and stain-resistant chemicals.

Applies special purpose cleaners to remove foreign materials which normal cleaning procedures do not remove, utilizing experience and judgment and following product manufacturer's recommendations.

Cleans engine and engine compartment with steam-cleaning equipment and various cleaning agents.

Inspects vehicles for noticeable defects, such as dents, scratches, torn upholstery and poor mechanical operation.

Restores appearance of engine area, rugs, upholstery and painted surfaces. Uses touch-up paint, dyes and other appropriate materials.

Uses proper eye, hand and body protection when using products that require protection.

Applies dressing on tires and tire wells.

Keeps work area neat and clean.

Reports any safety issues immediately to management.

Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.

Follows the dress code the company has put in place. Maintains a clean and neat work area.

Follows federal, state and local law as well as company policy about safeguarding all information.

Reports on time to work and follows schedule that is given. Calls supervisor if he/she cannot be at work on time.

Keeps current with annual HR training along with any other training that might be required for this position.
- Follows all company policies and procedures. Notifies supervisor of any illegal activity.
