This position is being posted for an opening at a Christian based school and organization located in San Antonio, Texas. The candidate must be bi-lingual (English and Spanish) and be able to communicate effectively to explain technology to non-technical people.
- The candidate must have proven first-rate analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Primary duties and responsibilities will require the installation, evaluation, detection, and troubleshooting of different types of issues affecting computer systems or servers or networks. The same capabilities will be required for widely used operating systems, such as Windows, or Mac OS; and typical business software such as Microsoft Office 365, Google Classroom, FTP software, Internet browsers, and Web based software.
- The candidate must also provide basic support for IP based telephones, local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs) having basic knowledge of networking protocols, such as TCP/IP, and topology.
- The candidate must also be prepared to do physical work, such as lifting computers or equipment, and, if necessary, shift them to other locations. They would need to stoop, bend, and reach.
Educational requirements:
Post-secondary coursework or associate degree required. Tech industry certification such as CompTIA A certification preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 1 year or prior IT technical experience required.
