You would direct the day-to-day operations and customer service, communicate with driver concerns/request and work closely with the Fleet Managers and Area Managers. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain the day-to-day operations.
- Oversee and handle operational and customer service department issues.
- Track daily mileage of the drivers.
- New business start up calls with customers.
- Assist in recruiting of new operation positions.
- Termination of employees when needed.
- Handle high level complaints from drivers and customers.
- Audit drivers boards of the Fleet Managers.
- Direct the operations and customer service personnel.
- Travel 25%.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- 3 years of management experience
- Experience in the Transportation/Trucking Industry
- Experience in OTR transportation, preferred
- Experience with cross border freight, a plus
- Looking for someone who is self-motivated, detail-oriented, has excellent organizational skills, and possess the ability to multitask and prioritize
- Must possess good management, communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
- Possess proficient computer and phone skills, with an emphasis on Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook and innovative AS400
