Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Landscape Construction Foreman to lead and manage on-site operations for our landscape projects. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of landscape construction processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a crew of 4–5 workers, reading and interpreting construction plans, scheduling materials, and maintaining effective communication with project managers and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Crew Leadership: Supervise and direct a team of 4–5 landscape construction workers, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
- Jobsite Management: Oversee day-to-day operations at the jobsite, ensuring that work is performed to high quality and safety standards.
- Plan Interpretation: Read and interpret construction plans and blueprints to guide work and ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Material Scheduling: Coordinate the timely delivery and use of materials, managing schedules to avoid delays and maintain project timelines.
- Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with the Project Manager regarding project progress, challenges, and scheduling adjustments.
- Customer Interaction: Engage with customers on-site, providing updates and addressing any concerns professionally.
- Problem-Solving: Identify potential issues on-site and implement solutions promptly to keep projects on track.
- Record Keeping: Document daily progress, materials used, and any incidents or deviations from the plan for future reference.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in landscape construction, landscape installation, or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a crew of 4–5 workers effectively.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans and blueprints.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to schedule materials and tasks efficiently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with project managers, team members, and customers.
- Basic math skills and practical knowledge of construction methods.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and adapt to changing site demands.
- Valid driver’s license may be required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Multiple years in Landscape construction.
- Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
