As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Safety Manager to join our incredible team.
Responsibilities:
100% Commitment to safety – ensures and demonstrates compliance with all safety policies, regulations, and industry best management practices
Leads a team of safety professionals to implement the Company safety program for our Construction, Maintenance, and Forestry divisions
Oversees comprehensive safety inspections and audits across all divisions ensuring compliance with all OSHA, federal, state, local, industry and company, rules and regulations
Interpret and provide recommendations on implementation and compliance with federal, state, local, OSHA rules and regulations and Company health and safety requirements
Utilize risk assessment methods/systems for anticipating, identifying, and evaluating hazards.
Drive and assist with the mitigation of identified gaps, weaknesses, and improvement opportunities
Maintain and review safety documentation, including field inspections, safety audits, incident reports and contractor safety correspondence
Identify trends and engage with management, supervision, and employees to communicate areas of concern needing corrective action
Collaborate with all employees to address safety concerns and implement solutions promptly
Manage a team of safety specialists to assist in performing safety objectives and training
Complete Other Activities, Duties, And Responsibilities As Assigned
Qualifications & Skills:
High School Diploma or Equivalent is required. Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in a safety and health related field is highly preferred.
OSHA certifications are highly preferred
First Aid/CPR/BBP and AED certifications are highly preferred
Industry safety certifications (CHST, CUSP, CTSP, etc.) are highly preferred
5 years’ experience managing safety efforts in Construction, Maintenance, Forestry. and/or Utility job sectors
Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 suite software for productivity, analysis, reporting, and presentations
Proficiency with EHS software
Demonstrate elements of leadership, teamwork, and interpersonal skills to build teams and professional relationships
Excellent communication/presentation skills, organizational skills, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
Strong analytical skills for assessing risks and developing mitigation strategies
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
