What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infant/Toddler Teacher position at Tri-Star Academy?
Due to increased enrollment and an expanded wait list, we have immediate openings for infant/toddler teachers. The ideal candidate should have a love for children, display a positive attitude, exhibit a patient and warm personality and be a team player.
Duties:
- Assist and/or coordinate the daily operations of the infant/toddler program
- Diaper changing
- Overseeing meal times
- Interacting with parents daily
- Supervising indoor and outdoor play
- Assisting with nap time
- Collaborating with other infant/toddler staff to ensure a positive, quality program
Responsibilities:
- Establishing and maintaining a daily routine within the classroom
- Communicating with parents on a daily basis
- Providing age appropriate activities and lesson plans daily
- Assessing the developmental needs of each child on a quarterly basis
- Collaborating with other center staff to ensure efficient operation of the program
- Maintaining a safe and healthy environment at all times
- Tending to the individual needs of each child daily
- Completing all required paperwork and training in a timely manner
Ultimately, a successful infant/toddler teacher will assist in creating an inviting, caring and educational classroom in which the children can learn, develop and grow.
Requirements:
- 2 years childcare experience
- 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or GED
Additional Considerations:
- Degree in Early Childhood or related field
- Knowledge of Keystone STARS criteria
- Child Development Associate Certificate
- College credits in education
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.50 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
