Primary Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Strategy:

o Establish and lead the PMO to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

o Define and implement project management standards, processes, and software.

o Align PMO objectives with organizational goals and strategic initiatives.

  • Portfolio and Program Management:

o Oversee the organization's project portfolio, ensuring proper prioritization and resource allocation.

o Monitor and report on the status of projects, programs, and key metrics to stakeholders and Information Technology Steering Committee.

o Identify risks and opportunities across the portfolio, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.

  • Project Management:

o Directly manage high-priority or complex projects, ensuring successful planning, execution, and delivery.

o Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.

o Coordinate cross-functional teams, resources, and stakeholders to achieve project objectives.

o Manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, proactively resolving conflicts and ensuring quality outcomes.

o Track project performance against KPIs and implement corrective actions when necessary.

  • Governance and Compliance:

o Develop and enforce project governance frameworks, including standards for reporting, documentation, and change management.

o Ensure compliance with organizational policies, industry regulations, and best practices.

  • Team Development:

o Manage and mentor a team of project managers and coordinators.

o Provide training and professional development to enhance team capabilities.

o Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.

  • Stakeholder Engagement:

o Serve as the primary point of contact for executive leadership, sponsors, and stakeholders.

o Facilitate communication between project teams and organizational leadership.

o Proactively address stakeholder concerns and ensure satisfaction with project outcomes.

  • Maintains confidentiality of all company, client, employee, and vendor information.
  • Reacts productively to change.
  • Performs other duties as assigned..

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or related IT field
  • 10 years of experience in project management.
  • 5 years of experience in a supervisory project management role.
  • Experience in managing complex projects, including cross functional and enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Scrum).
  • Proficient in project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Jira).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to influence and drive change across diverse teams.
  • PMP Certification Preferred
  • PgMP Certification Preferred
  • Prior retail or CStore experience is preferred.
  • Or any equivalent combination of education and experience in job related activities

  • Good written and oral communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals
