Position Summary

This position requires a highly organized individual who possesses strong initiative and can complete multiple projects in a deadline driven environment. This individual must be able to communicate effectively.

Job Essentials, Responsibilities, Duties

  • Develop and review contracts on service agreements, non-disclosure, terms and conditions, real estate transactions, and all other contracts relevant to business operations.
  • Ensure consistency of contract terms with Tri Star’s best practices, policies, and business goals.
  • Conduct research, investigating facts and develop recommendations.
  • Expedite and review contracts from client attorneys, business managers, insurance companies, production companies or any other contractual agreements.
  • Work with the General Counsel and outside counsel to develop contract strategies.
  • Assist Real Estate team with deliverables regarding real estate purchases / sales for Clients / Construction Projects
  • Prepare and file documents for internal use and review.
  • Work collaboratively to develop and / or improve systems, processes, controls, and procedures that improve the overall efficiency of the firm and insure excellent client service.
  • Review or draft legal documents such as contracts, depositions, and pleadings.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other parties included in Real Estate projects as directed by leadership.
  • Assist in filing and obtaining actionable permits from the appropriate authorities
  • Keep track of changes in legal framework and provide timely updates.
  • Apply innovative problem-solving skills and practical business judgment to maximize revenues, minimize risk and foster long-term client relationships.

  • Experience in human resources required.
  • Excellent Organizational skills; demonstrated ability to create, plan and successfully execute projects; the ability to meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to juggle multiple, high-priority projects, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent contract review and drafting skills.
  • Ability to assess size and scope of contemplated transactions and to tailor contracts and negotiation effort accordingly.
  • Superior analytical and writing skills and ability, together with strong business and financial acumen.
  • Proven track record of outstanding performance in a previous job.
  • Experience managing a staff is a must.
  • Qualifications

  • 7 years working in legal and Business Affairs in the entertainment industry.
  • Must be a licensed attorney, admitted to the State Bar of California.
  • Preference given to multi-family office experience.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
