We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Control Coordinator to join our team at a steel manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring all products meet company and industry standards for quality and safety. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the quality control processes, conducting inspections, and implementing quality improvement initiatives throughout the manufacturing process. Key Responsibilities : Oversee the day-to-day quality control operations within the steel manufacturing facility. Conduct regular inspections of raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications. Perform tests, measurements, and evaluations using precision instruments to monitor the quality of steel products. Work closely with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues, minimizing defects and production delays. Review production data, identify trends, and recommend improvements to processes and quality control systems. Maintain detailed records of quality control inspections, test results, and corrective actions taken. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment. Collaborate with other departments, including production, engineering, and maintenance, to improve product quality and operational efficiency. Train and mentor staff on quality control procedures and best practices. Assist in developing and implementing quality control procedures and policies to improve overall quality management. Qualifications : High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field preferred. Proven experience (2 years) in a quality control role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in steel manufacturing. Strong understanding of quality control methodologies, industry standards, and regulations (e.g., ISO, ASTM). Proficiency in using measurement and inspection tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges). Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices within a manufacturing environment. Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work under pressure. Physical Requirements : Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to various temperatures, noise, and industrial machinery.
