Automotive Ford Technician

Tri-State Ford in Maryville, MO is looking for an experienced technician for our growing team. As an experienced mechanic your pay structure will increase substantially as your knowledge of the product lines increase.

Responsibilities for Automotive Service Technician

• Install new products, and test them to ensure they are working correctly

• Vehicle maintenance experience – oil technicians operate multiple types of vehicles and perform many vehicle maintenance tasks, which requires good mechanical ability

• Perform maintenance and provide customer support

• Diagnose problems and come up with solutions to repair them

• Order parts needed for repairs if needed

• Fill out detailed reports and keep records on services that have been performed

• Explain issues with equipment and repairs to customers

• Build and maintain relationships with customers

Qualifications for Automotive Service Technician

• Ability to install, repair, service, test and troubleshoot equipment

• Must be able to read blueprints and diagrams

• Excellent communication, interpersonal and diagnostic skills

• Working knowledge of the equipment needed for the job

• Ability to work independently without much supervision

• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job which include bending, lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces

• driver's license and reliable transportation

• Ability to effectively manage time

Job Requirements

• 2 years Automotive Repair experience

• Ford or ASE certifications are preferred but not required

• Must have own tool set

• Valid driver's license!
