Tri-State Bobcat, a proven leader in the industry for over 40 years, is expanding and seeking a Field Service Technician Mechanic to join our team. With five locations and a reputation for excellence, we are looking for someone who is ready to service and repair a wide range of compact, forestry, and grounds equipment.
At Tri-State Bobcat, we offer $30 to $45 per hour, plus overtime, for your mechanical expertise and problem-solving skills. Enjoy a Monday to Friday schedule (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM) with no weekends and some flexibility based on customer needs. This position is based out of our Burnsville location, and you'll work independently with minimal supervision.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Diagnose and repair various types of equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to extend equipment lifespan
- Communicate progress and updates on jobs to the service manager
- Inspect and test equipment after repairs are completed to ensure quality
- Order parts and ensure all necessary repairs are completed to specification
- Ensure work orders are completed accurately with proper documentation of labor and parts used
- Work independently in the field, while maintaining company safety standards
- Participate in training programs (including out-of-state training) to stay updated on new equipment and technologies
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience as a mechanic, with expertise in diesel engine repair and service
- A complete set of tools (eligible for our Tool Allowance Program to help you grow your collection!)
- Experience with hydraulic/hydrostatic systems, electrical systems, and troubleshooting
- Valid driver's license with a DOT health card or the ability to obtain one
- Experience operating Bobcat or similar compact construction equipment
- Strong computer skills for diagnostics and work order documentation
- Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
- Excellent time management skills and a commitment to completing work on time
