A proven leader in the industry for over 40 years with 5 locations, is looking to hire a Field Service Technician to service and repair an extensive line of compact, forestry and grounds equipment. Success in this position is heavily dependent upon strong mechanical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with little supervision. Get paid $28.50 - $35.00 per hour plus overtime for your experience and strong mechanical skills! NO WEEKENDS - Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm with some variability due to customer needs. Burnsville location.
Essential Functions:
- Diagnose and repair equipment as needed
- Perform required preventive maintenance
- Communicate job progress to service manager
- Inspect and test equipment when work completed
- Obtain or order parts needed for repairs
- Check work orders for complete and accurate descriptions of work performed and proper parts and labor is accounted for
- Work safely and independently with little supervision
- Maintain company safety standards
- Willing to participate in all training programs, including limited out of state training and keep current on new equipment updates
Minimum Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a mechanic in diesel engine repair and service
- Complete set of tools, plus eligible for our Tool Allowance Program!
- Experience with hydraulic/hydrostatic systems and electrical systems and troubleshooting
- Valid driver's license with DOT health card or ability to obtain one
- Experience operating a Bobcat or similar compact construction equipment
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good time management skills with the ability to complete work as scheduled
