JOB SUMMARY:
Operate and maintain a light delivery/panel truck and complete daily vehicle checks. Responsible for the delivery and pick-up of office equipment, supplies, and furniture without damage. Ensure paperwork is signed and reviewed with each delivery. Additional responsibilities include assisting in the retail store and assembling furniture and copiers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Perform pre-trip truck checks each day before leaving the facility (SureFleet). Report major mechanical problems to your supervisor.
- Secure freight with blankets and straps as required.
- Determine the most efficient loading order to match your route.
- Log time out and mileage for each stop.
- Call customers before arrival to provide excellent customer service and updates.
- Meet customers, introduce yourself, and check the area where equipment will be placed.
- Verify electric outlets for proper power before unloading equipment.
- Match and verify items against packing slips and serial numbers to ensure all items are properly delivered.
- Obtain signatures from the driver and customer to verify current meters on all units.
- Fuel the truck each day before returning to the shop and clean it upon arrival.
- Assist with copier set-ups, retail store duties, and other tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and DOT card.
- Ability to read directions, use maps, and operate GPS units.
- Ability to maintain logs and records accurately.
- Dependable and able to follow instructions without constant supervision.
- Physically able to lift 100 pounds regularly and operate a stair climber safely.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Must maintain a professional appearance, wear the company uniform, and follow hygiene standards.
