Position Overview:
The Estimator/Project Manager oversees and coordinates all aspects of assigned construction projects, from initial estimation through project completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. This dual-role is critical to maintaining and enhancing the company's reputation by ensuring accurate project estimates, high-quality service delivery, and fostering long-term client relationships. The Estimator/Project Manager is responsible for identifying and securing appropriate projects, preparing detailed project estimates, managing project schedules, and ensuring effective communication among all stakeholders, including customers, estimators, and team members. This position plays a key role in driving innovation, maintaining customer satisfaction, and achieving company growth objectives.
Essential Duties:
- Identify, evaluate, and secure suitable construction projects to maintain a consistent project pipeline.
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for potential projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and other resources.
- Develop, manage, and update project schedules, ensuring alignment with customer needs and company goals.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, estimators, and project teams to ensure clear and proactive communication.
- Prepare and manage essential project documents, including contracts, purchase agreements, submittals, reports, and correspondence.
- Maintain organized and accessible project records and documentation for efficient reference and reporting.
- Monitor project progress to ensure adherence to quality standards, deadlines, and budgets.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation, introducing new materials, applications, and techniques to enhance project value.
- Execute and manage utility locate tickets and other required permits.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, ensuring collaboration and accountability across all phases of project execution.
- Actively participate in professional development opportunities, including training sessions, reading industry publications, and networking within professional organizations.
- Ensure all work adheres to safety, quality, and confidentiality standards.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
- 4-8 years of Deep Foundation experience in project management and estimation within the construction industry, with knowledge of geotechnical or deep foundation installations, which is related to Drilled Piers, Micropile, Driven Pile, & Helical Pier Foundation Systems.
- Demonstrated experience in sales and business development within the construction sector.
- Proficient in project management and estimation tools and software, including Microsoft
Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional approach to stakeholder engagement.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed contractual Service Level Agreements, including deliverables, schedules, and budgets.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities, including accountability, innovation, and a growth mindset.

Reporting Structure:
The Estimator/Project Manager reports to the Vice President of Specialty and collaborates closely with a team of estimators, project coordinators, and other project managers.
