HOT SHOT Driver - Springdale

POSITION TITLE: Hot Shot Driver (Non-CDL)

REPORTS TO: Branch Manager and/or Lead Dispatcher

The Hot Shot Driver operates under the supervision of a Branch Manager and/or Lead Dispatcher and is primarily responsible for operating company vehicles to deliver products to specified customer locations. The Hot Shot Driver is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and is required to perform loading, unloading, and other warehouse duties.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Drives Company vehicles in a professional and safe manner at all times
• Delivers products to specified locations in a timely manner
• Unloads and stacks products with customers in a friendly courteous manner
• Ensures that delivery paperwork is completed as required
• Ensures truck pre-trip and post trip procedures are followed daily
• Performs other related warehouse or delivery duties as assigned
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work space
• Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety
• The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner

Skills & Qualifications:

• Must have a clean driving record or less than 6 points as the schedule identifies in the Employee Handbook
• Must be at minimum 21 years of age to qualify as a driver
• Must have a minimum of 6-months in delivery experience (preferred)
• Must possess a current State issued Driver’s License
• Must have excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
• Must have exemplary Customer Facing and Customer Service Skills
• Must have the flexibility and ability to work under time restraints
• Must constantly endeavor to portray the DRIVE Core Values

Educational Requirements:

• The Hot Shot Driver should have a high school diploma or its equivalent

Work Environment:

This position works in a multi-setting atmosphere with outdoor exposure during the workday as well as being in and out of the weather elements during delivery.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
