Tri-State Overhead Crane is a leading provider of overhead crane and custom lifting solutions, dedicated to delivering exceptional quality and service to our clients. We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our team and drive growth with a sales territory that encompasses the state of Kentucky.
Job Summary:
As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by promoting and selling our comprehensive range of overhead cranes and custom lifting devices to clients within your territory. You will utilize your consultative sales expertise to build strong, lasting relationships with customers, while enhancing our brand and market presence. This role requires a strategic approach to developing new business, expanding existing customer bases, and consistently delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Revenue Growth: Develop and grow revenue by prospecting new accounts, maintaining relationships with existing clients, and expanding business within your territory.
- Strategic Sales: Target competitor accounts, cross-sell services, and identify new opportunities to promote our products.
- Sales Process Management: Manage all stages of the sales process, from project scoping to preparing contracts to closing new and existing projects.
- Strategic Planning: Implement strategic sales plans to drive growth and ensure consistent results, tracking performance through reports, expenses, and call logs.
- Reporting and Tracking: Submit activity and wrap-up logs to track customer interactions and key activities and progress toward goals.
- Project Management: Project management of new and ongoing projects to include working with clients to determine their requirements, formulating proposals, and tracking projects through completion.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High School diploma required; a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sales, or Marketing is preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in overhead crane or industrial equipment sales is required.
- Proven consultative sales skills with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proficient in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must be able to travel regularly within your assigned territory with occasional overnight stays as required.
- Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Comfortable working independently while sometimes collaborating with internal partners.
