What are the responsibilities and job description for the Overhead Crane Specialist position at Tri-State Equipment?
Tri-State Overhead Crane Overview
We are a rapidly growing company in the Peoria area, seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team. Our headquarters is located in St. Louis, with service locations primarily in the Midwest, but covering coast-to-coast customers nationwide. As a strong and diverse organization, we have 125 employees, offering a perfect blend of being big enough to make an impact, yet small enough to maintain a personalized approach.
A Career as a Service Technician
We design, build/fabricate, install, inspect, service, and repair overhead cranes, which allows us to cover the full life cycle of these complex systems. In this role, you will perform electrical and mechanical diagnostics, deliver required repairs onsite at customer locations, troubleshoot and repair overhead cranes, crane controls, hoists, and drives, and conduct comprehensive quality inspections of industrial equipment. You'll also be responsible for reading and understanding work instructions, manuals, schematics, and fabrication drawings.
Requirements and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need a minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a technician or mechanic in an industrial environment working on equipment. Having experience working on overhead cranes is highly desirable, as it allows you to hit the ground running. Additionally, you must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, frequently walk, climb, kneel, bend, reach overhead, push, pull, and use a ladder or lift, while wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
