What you will do:
- Prepare, negotiate, and administer contracts from bidding to final completion and closeout.
- Provide guidance and aid to supply chain services personnel.
- Evaluate proposals and complete contracts.
- Oversee the procurement of materials, equipment, and phases of construction for the generation, transmission, and areas of the acquisition.
- Prepare contract documents for various acquisitions, including construction, repair, leases, consulting, and software.
- Draft contract terms, incorporate technical specifications, and finalize bid documents.
- Administer bidder qualifications and establish pre-qualified bidder lists.
- Oversee sourcing processes; set bid schedules, issue RFPs/RFIs, answer bidder questions, conduct pre-bid conferences, negotiate contracts.
- Evaluate proposals: document receipt, conduct bid openings, review compliance, negotiate changes, and prepare bid analysis for final review.
- Assist Tri State personnel in administering contracts.
- Coordinate the contract change orders and amendments and monitor approval of executed contracts.
- Prepare and process contract closeout documents by coordinating Tri State and contractor approval and final payments.
- Develop and implement contracting procedures ensuring compliance.
- Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures and remain knowledgeable of regulations, laws, and standards.
Who you are:
You have good planning and time management skills; you can think ahead and work within your timelines and resources and anticipate problems while meeting goals. You bring excellent communication skills and can maintain effective working relationships.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, construction management, engineering, or related field.
- Working knowledge of contract law and administration.
- Knowledge of government regulations affecting electric utilities.
- Willingness to travel when needed.
