Job Description
Tri-State is an electric utility providing electricity to rural electric cooperatives. We have a Geographic Information Systems Internship opportunity for 2025. Students who have successfully completed three (3) to (4) years of undergraduate study towards a Bachelor's degree in Geography, Computer Science, Earth Science or Environmental Science from an accredited college or university are encouraged to apply. Seniors who will be graduating in December or are planning to attend graduate school in the Fall are also encouraged to apply.
This summer position offers students hands on experience to work in and learn various aspects of Tri-State's GIS department.
Responsibilities :
- Work with the Geospatial Data Systems Manager for task assignments and review of completed GIS tasks.
- Assist staff with data conversion, map preparation and geospatial analysis.
