Position Summary: The Crew Travel Assistant facilitates and manages travel logistics for flight crew members and staff, including pilots, flight attendants, MX employees, training and corporate staff. This position works closely with scheduling, operations, and travel vendors to ensure seamless crew movements while optimizing cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
- Arrange flights, hotels, and ground transportation for crew members and staff.
- Ensure travel compliance with company policies and aviation regulations.
- Coordinate with crew schedulers to adjust travel plans due to delays, cancellations, or operational changes.
- Manage crew travel expenses and process reimbursements.
- Maintain and update crew travel itineraries and records.
- Work with travel vendors to negotiate cost-effective rates.
- Assist with visa applications, passport renewals, and travel documentation for international trips.
- Provide 24/7 support for urgent crew travel issues.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Experience in travel coordination or airline operations is preferred.
- Proficiency in travel booking systems (FlightBridge, SAP Concur, or similar).
- Knowledge of aviation regulations (FAA, EASA, IATA guidelines).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Education:
- Must have a high school diploma or GED.
