Job Description
We are seeking a qualified LPN with charge nurse experience for an immediate travel opening in De Smet, SD. The right candidate for this position should have at least 2 years of recent experience. Read below for more information.
Position Details
- Length of Assignment: 13 weeks
- Target Start Date: 10/21/2024
- Shift: 6:00P-6:30A
- Estimated Weekly Gross: $1128.56 - $1200.21 (Must reside more than 80 miles to be considered per facility requirements)
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and document observations in the EMR.
- Develop and update individualized care plans based on physician orders.
- Administer medications and provide direct nursing care to residents.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare team members and notify physicians of condition changes.
- Educate residents and families on care plans and health status.
- Follow infection control guidelines and dispose of soiled linens properly.
- Monitor residents for signs of infection and report concerns promptly.
- Respond promptly to resident call lights and address needs compassionately.
Requirements:
- Nursing degree and valid nursing license.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Knowledge of infection control practices.
- BLS from American Heart Association
- IV proficient
